Making It in

“ Making
It in America”
A few years ago, we received several comments about the
“character” of America. How things had “changed” noting the
constant negative attitude towards America’s citizens by
government and businesses and the barriers set up against those
who try to use their talents to create "good works".
We decided to investigate the reality of “Making It in America”
and what people were doing to “Make It”. Or what was being done
to America’s citizens by others who thought the road to success
was paved with the “bodies” of American citizens ground into the
pavement of that road.
As a note, since we are using Indian University as the model of
what’s wrong in America, we did contact Indiana University and
noted to them that we would be running this piece on their
behavior but as with their response to our HU Studios division,
we have heard no comment from them at all.
First and foremost, The Standard we used for judging the
behavior of those we investigated is that “Success is the
ability to work effectively in creating a positive work that
affects the lives of you and others in a productive manner”.
Whatever is being done must benefit someone else… otherwise it
is a waste of time and a self-indulgent exercise in destruction.
To put this in the simplest form. To provide unarguable proof of
the current character of America’s governments and institutions,
we attempted to “work with” different people and organizations
and governments (as part of our investigation) that actually
asked for help or noted on their websites the need for
“community” or national participation. From universities, to
other businesses to governments, each time with few exceptions
the first reaction from these parties was: How would their
interaction with us cause a benefit to us? Was there any way we
could benefit? We have found, with very few exceptions,
governments, businesses and business individuals obsessed with
using others for their “vain glory” but only if they were the
only beneficiaries of that interaction.
One such example is Indiana University-Bloomington (IU also). IU
first came to our attention by someone pointing out that IU had
a Black Film Center. We called IU and inquired as to the process
of submitting films. An IU representative asked us to forward a
few of our films for inclusion.
We did so and waited for the reaction. Their
reaction after receiving our films…SILENCE. For about a year we
heard nothing from them and could not find our two films,
“Washington, DC” and “Architecture”, listed on their site. For
the longest we contacted school officials and got nothing. Then
we were contacted and informed that the films were not there and
had been lost. When we produced evidence to the contrary,
miraculously IU said they were found.
After another long wait we then expanded our contact list to
include IU Administration and Indiana governmental officials and
finally got the archivist for the Black Film Center who
eventually asked us for a contract. Our legal division created a
contract of donation (IU actually buys films but we donated
ours) which set up a conflict resolution clause that any
problems needing legal attention would be handled here in
Shreveport, LA. We received notice from the IU Archivist that
everything was in order and was accepted and the films would be
catalogued and listed on the site. One year later, no listing on
the IU website.
When we (our TV/film division HU Studios) contacted IU’s Dean, a Mr. Larry D. Singell,
of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2012, he responded with an apologetic email
(1 year after we sent the films).
Dean Singell’s email asked the head of the Black Film Center, a Mr. Michael T. Martin,
to note that “We (IU) want to make sure we are being good stewards here.” regarding the
film deposits. Mr. Martin noted the films were there and catalogued but he could not understand
why they were not listed on the website for the Black Film Archives.
This sounded as if action was going to be taken…to the contrary,
after several months the films were still not listed on the
site. We contacted them again and cc the President of IU and
several of the IU administration including the Provost. The only
reaction we got on that was Dean Singell’s admonition for us not
to contact the President of IU again.
A short time later we did get a response from both Mr. Martin
and Dean Singell, they were quickly sending our films back to
us. After holding on to our films for at least 2 years, suddenly
they did just that, with no postage paid the package arrived at
the GMF in Shreveport and was promptly sent back to IU. IU then
resent not only the films but a “contract” with a poorly written
note stating that it had been “unsigned” thus proving we never
had a contract at all. Thanks, but we will keep the earlier email
from IU Archivist noting that she had approval of the contract
from the department (at least a year before the return of the
films). The original contract notes HU can sue in Shreveport and
the entire IU entourage would have to come to us.
So
what is to be made of this boorish, churlish, unprofessional
behavior? First IU asks us to send our movies, then IU pretends
they don’t have them, then they find them but won’t put them on
the site where the public can see them, then they are good
stewards of films, then they are cataloged but a mystery has
arisen as to why they are not on IU’s website, and finally when
having no other excuses they send major films back to the Motion
Picture Studios that sent them, WITHOUT POSTAGE, which is then
sent back to IU and IU then re-sends them with a “fake” unsigned
contract.
HU
Studios did notify, by emails, all major IU Admin, and even
State of Indiana governmental officials, including the U.S.
Attorney in Indiana (after all IU is a public institution which
receives public funds) and the U.S. Dept. of Education. No one
responded except the U.S. Department of Justice which noted that
the actions of IU did not, as of yet, warrant an Anti-Trust
lawsuit by Justice.
The reality is that IU wanted to make sure no one knew of the
films we produced in an apparent effort not to let anyone know
of the existence of Human Utilities Whole Armour®. Fascinating,
someone should tell our customers and daily website traffic that
HU officially now “DOES NOT EXIST” because IU’s Film Archives sent the films back
to us...
Or maybe it was because we had done a film on Hobson City,
Alabama, which is the oldest black American township in Alabama.
We noted on IU’s Black Film Center site that they were trying to
promote a videographer doing a subsequent story on Hobson City
after we had done the work there. Or is it the fact that most
if not all of the films they promote are actually owned by and
major profits made by Anglo American companies with “black
faces” out front as directors and producers. Human Utilities
Whole Armour® owns all of its products.
So whether it was an attempt to use public monies to control
what the public sees or an attempt to copy a copyrighted work or
to deal in unfair trade practices or even governmental fraud on
the public, the fact is that the behavior of IU in sending back
the films to us only after they would have to finally be placed
on IU’s website denotes something else is occurring. Of Course
IU did not know it was under investigation. The university
showed how they behave when they believe the parties they deal
with are powerless to respond. We wonder how they treat
legitimate student complaints.
What is clear is that Mr. Martin and Dean Singell thought it in
their best interest to disregard protocol and decorum and get
those movies away from IU before the public knew of their
existence.
But is IU alone, or is this the standard in America for
companies, governments and indivuals who seek to “Make It” in
America to a position of prominence? We know IU is not alone in
this psychosis. As we were
investigating IU we were concurrently involved in several
investigations of several other entities. They all behaved the
same. (We will in the next publication note individuals who have
done just about anything in this current foolish climate of “you
cannot do well unless the other guy is not.”)
We contacted charities who were begging for money and
soup kitchens that needed help. The curious fact is that when we
responded they went silent. Why, because the answer is simple.
The attitude of all the major charities and social groups we
dealt with is that they only deal with companies that do not
“economically” rival or “compete” with their donors…what
hypocrisy.
These groups get billions from Americans to help, aid and
support our fellow citizens but the end result is the need is
never eliminated because they only use their prominence to
“promote” certain groups for status not to assist those in need
. Have you ever heard of any one organization asking for help to
create new substantive jobs? Of course not, just short term
projects that look good for Thanksgiving or Christmas, but
that’s it.
In other words, selling the public on your integrity
(without substance) is how apparently these organizations and
governments survive. So IU selling the public on its Black Film
Archives is simply another way for an esoteric group to claim
significance…but by exclusion. But why didn’t IU simply put the
films on the site and forget about it? That would have simply
handled the matter and people would have not known about their
behavior.
Why… the
answer is simply. The reasons are tied to the current
destructive trend in America of exclusionism wherein one group
attempts to corral all resources to simply say that they have it
all and you get nothing.
In other words these institutions and governments and
individuals have turned to a narcissistic exercise of life where
all they do day in and out is, in their opinion, survive by
eliminating all competition. They believe that other governments
and groups they deal with are just as lacking in integrity as
they are so they see no need for professionalism or self
corrective action. As they are not disciplined by administrative
or governmental groups, they feel they are entitled to behave in
a corrosive manner against America’s citizens.

A short time ago institutions, business and governments in the
United States were prejudicial but still produced something.
Hollywood was not that friendly to Black Americans in the 50 and
60’s but you still had people who produce good films…not
anymore. This current group is only interested in being seen
within their group, they do not even care if the general public
sees them or not.
You can tell this by the complete lack of any appreciable music,
art, and motion pictures and television production over the past
40 years in America. Where are the new constructions for mass
housing, City and Regional Planning? We do not have architects,
top scientist, lawyers expanding civil rights, singers, or
actors or producers. All we have now are “Personalities” as
talent has been shut out by big business, the universities and
the federal and state governments.
As one scientist noted,” the current day society in America is
living off the works of the past not producing (the life) for
the future”. As for music, you can’t tell the difference
between one singer or the other. They all sound the same. There
is no distinctive style or sound. And please don’t let one of
them try to dance; you will have to take an Advil after that.
While investigating IU, Charities and Social Groups, it was
brought to our attention that certain military organizations
needed films for their vets. Those at nursing homes, vet houses,
even in foreign wars. We contacted several organizations
including the V.A. and other such organizations. The
response…you guessed it… Silence!
One brave woman in California, whose name we will not use,
arranged for CalVet, (California Department of Veterans Affairs)
to receive an excellent collection of our North American Editor
® series to vet homes in California. This donation included the
NUMBER ONE motion picture of its kind and the one motion picture
which has California and New York film industries quivering (and not from an
earthquake) NEW ORLEANS THE CRESCENT, the only motion picture in
history to cover the City of New Orleans before Katrina.
She
was very happy until, apparently, supervisors at CalVet sent the
entire donated collection back to us. The excuse was that the
Vets in California apparently did not have enough sense to watch
high quality programming. Apparently if we had sent a few R
rated flicks with nudity, cursing and a few heads blown off
(which we refuse to produce) that might have done the trick.
But let’s not leave out our federal government. We also did an
investigation of the Obama Administration from day one. We sent
several of our films (before MR. Obama’s first ninety days in
2009) directly to the Obama Administration including all top
officials in the U.S. Congress. The response, the same as IU, no
response. WE must have been mistaken when we saw that news
report from Brian Williams of NBC Nightly News which showed a
line of young men lined up outside Mr. Obama’s door…hat in hand.
They must have been from Goodwill. We wonder how they got in. If
you call the White House they say send a letter. We did and a
whole lot more. So if we can’t get in contact with the
President, what chance does the average citizen have to be heard
and actually get results?
We also sent a letter to a well know “Christian” mega Church
just to get their response. Their response was professional,
direct and very positive. They even offered to pray with us on
the success of our endeavor. So although there are some real con
men running some of these TV and larger ministries, this
particular group had a professional response to us unlike our
national government. So much for the current, past, or future
White House response to job creation. The reality is that Mr.
Obama or any other president has no interest in creating “the
time of day for you” if you are not a part of certain esoteric
group (with plenty of funding) who think they run the country.
Much is the same in HU’s headquarters city of Shreveport,
Louisiana. We have an African American woman who is our counsel
woman, the first African American Mayor in Shreveport history,
and so on and so forth.
What is the effective of all of this…the same effect of having
the first African American President…NOTHING! People are people
and either they honor the word of God or they don’t. In
Shreveport there is plenty of money floating around with the
construction of the northern leg of I-49 and I-69 but the mayor
in Shreveport gives money away to out-of-town interest for
business development (some say who contribute to his campaign)
but not to Shreveport citizens. When approached about the waste
of giving $100,000 for a park improvement in the middle of a
slum instead of handing those funds to Black American businesses
in that same area, the Mayor and the Shreveport City Council did
and said nothing…literally. In response, the council woman from
that district offered me a position on some city study group
which I abruptly turned down.
The way business works in Shreveport and the U.S. is that funds
are generated where only certain wealthy organizations and
people can get them and only for esoteric projects. They will
give you a “tax credit” but only if you have the money to spend
up front. The way the film industry works in Shreveport and the
State of Louisiana is that you have to spend large sums to
receive the tax credit. That effectively puts that out of reach
of those who are not connected and wealthy.
Additionally, a study done in Louisiana found out that for
every 7 dollars they spend on the film industry…they get 1
dollar back. All of this while the State of Louisiana and the
U.S. Federal government attempt to make teachers the scapegoats
for the failings of education and cut funding for education to
fill in the gaps governments created by handing over public
funds to the wealthy who do nothing with those funds but hide
them away.
From looking at this investigation, it would appear that the
states and the federal government are deliberately raising test
score requirements and passing laws to make sure the current
wealthy in America have no competition for their children by
“flunking” the “non-connected” children into oblivion while
attacking the teachers of America. The question is who is in
charge of writing the course work that teachers teach, the last
time we checked it was the State Administrations not teachers.
Teachers do an excellent job with all the politics they contend
with. They spend their own money to educate their students while
states like Louisiana give away 7 dollars to get 1 dollar back
so that governmental officials can say they stood next to a
“personality” who did some form of film that you probably would
not let your children see.
Nowhere in the U.S. or any American state or city are there
funds going directly into the hands of new or small businesses
or large corporations with the intent of improving the lives of
average citizens with the best governmental program possible…a
well paying job with respect and dignity . Why no response from
all of these alleged “history making” individuals? They are
afraid and could care less as to the desires of the citizenry of
the United States. Color or being an African American is just
another selling tool to sell integrity to the general public
(without substance).
Their jobs, as they see it, are to guarantee that those (and
their generations) who have bought Washington, D.C. and cities
throughout America, never have any competition.
Democracy of the few, and forget the many. That is after all the
point of this investigation of the real efforts of universities,
business, and governments to expand the wealth in American. The
reality is there is no such effort. The reality is that our
investigation of the current Administration, charities,
universities and popular or well know individuals reveals that
the only thing being done in the United States is a mad dash to
control the airways, the radio waves and the market place
wherein no parties except an esoteric group get to prosper. And
that is what this country calls “Making It in America”. The
entire country and governmental infrastructure is nothing more
than one big ANTITRUST violation. DISCRIMMINATION is the rule
against anyone, black or white who is not a part of these
esoteric groups.
As the bible notes: “But
all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad
their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,
And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in
the synagogues, And greetings in the markets” “To have respect of
persons is not good: for a piece of bread that man will
transgress.” “He that hasteth to be rich hath an
evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.”
So if the bible is smart enough to see this why (we ask our
readers and customers) are you not.
The reality is that this kind of narcissistic behavior does not
work. The total lack of professionalism at IU or CalVets or the
Obama Administration show these groups are in their own
delusional world while the country fails, vets are not served
and children are not educated. They are fervent in chasing FAME
but what do they produce. No films, no music, no programs to
assist any poor person, no programs to create new businesses
(especially if those businesses did not contribute to your
campaign), no food standards, no major architectural or
scientific creations and so on and so forth. The U.S. is a
non-productive society.
But we did not do this investigation to force entities such as
IU to correct their lack of integrity or the Obama
Administration or anyone else. We have learned that if a man
will operate in a manner contradictory to Jesus, he is
delusional enough not to listen to you. Rather as a Christian
organization, we note what the bible says: “For those who have
ears to hear, let them hear”.
AS IT IS, we would imagine after this article, the non-talented,
non-producing and non-working business, governmental and
university class will rally together. I am sure they can muster
the best know personalities (know for what I don’t know) and
hold a big event. They had better come together because they
sure don’t have God. A complete and total lack of
integrity, respect, and dignity being show the general public by
these groups who are afraid of any new thing.
They will
self-destruct in due time . After all they have each other to
depend upon and that should be enough of a burden to destroy
anything. Law suits have their purpose, as we are preparing
several suits that are much needed against public corruption and
those who believe they are an exception to the rule of law .
The reality is you must be "TOP FLIGHT" for organizations to try
to prevent the public from knowing about you. It shows you have
the talent they do not have and they know it. It also shows they
do not “control” the public because if they did they would not
be afraid of the public knowing of you.
I would say to the general public. Create . Create your
own groups and produce productive works. We at Human Utilities
Whole Armour
®
have. We produce the finest films in the world and
have created our own genre and style of film. WE have customers
worldwide. This is a big, beautiful and lovely world created by
God not man. You have the authority to do whatever good thing
you can imagine. We assist and spend our funds on intelligent
groups each year and help individuals and groups. AND IF ANYONE
VIOLATES YOUR RIGHTS, DON'T SHOOT, PHYSICALLY INJURY OR THE LIKE
BUT FILE A COMPLAINT IN YOUR STATE OR FEDERAL COURT. TAKE THEM
TO TASK AND STANDUP FOR YOUR RIGHTS.
Stop voting for politicians who do nothing for you. I have
observed Mr. Obama and he has never really said he would do
anything for any Black American, the poor or new business
growth. He stays in the North and Northeast and West playing to
what he considers to be his political base and the South can
sink in the Gulf. He has no plan for broad economic growth
especially if it includes growth for industries that may compete
against his political donors. He has no plan for the poor,
better medical health, and from the groups I have seen at the
White House the music and movie industry will stay the corpse it
currently is… extra a few independent producers.
As the word of God notes of them:
“We
grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had
no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in
desolate places as dead men”
So the reality is to those who have asked HGN News to
investigate the current trend of exclusionism by universities,
businesses and governments we would say you are correct.
But so what, these are groups that can be replaced. Don’t send
your kids to any university you do not agree with. We certainly
will make sure any scholarship funds coming out of our new
scholarship program will not go to IU. So build your own
intelligent, talented environment and stop voting for
politicians whose goals are a book tour and speaking engagements
when they leave their respective positions while they leave ruin
and injury behind.
Have faith in God’s ability to take any
group or man and put them higher than any delusional government,
group or organization who currently seeks the fastest door to
their own destruction. “Then
shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and I will cause thee to
ride upon the high places of the earth.”
The
first trick of a con man is to make you believe he has something
you don’t have and the only place you can get it is through him.
So no matter the government or group, this current sickness in
America of trying to corral the entire country for the use of a
few people is not only the actions of a “maniac” or mad man but
simply is impossible. The only person who can corral you is YOU
and your lack of faith in the word of God.
As
MLK famously stated:
" A Man can't ride your back unless it is bent."
AND
in faith in God and Jesus the Christ, if necessary
file a lawsuit.
